What is the best ski resort out West (CO, UT etc)?

Question by SHARK: What is the best ski resort out West (CO, UT etc)?
Looking for a great place to ski and party. I want to be able to walk everywhere. Skied Breckenridge last winter, but looking for something new with a great ski and party scene. Thanks
Going in the middle-end of Feb and would love great snow. Please be specific as you can as to where to ski, eat, drink, and sleep. Thanks

You didn’t say when you were traveling. Steamboat Springs, CO is a great mountain. The town is a fun western ski town. The skiing is great, especially at the end of Jan., usually, when there is foot after foot of champagne powder.

Vail, CO is also great all around. The town is a European model. High end shopping and great dining. There are bars, but also a great disco, if that appeals. Most CO places do not have discos.

I think Jackson Hole, WY and Sun Valley, ID also have good towns, but I don’t have a lot of experience with them in the winter.

Park City, Ut is the best skiing out West! You can’t beat it, plus there are tons of Olympic runs from the last Winter Olympics in Park City in 2002.

Great party scene, as Sundance film festival is held in Park City, so it attracts a lot of celebrities and beautiful people.

You can sign up at ParkCityInfo for the “Quick Start” program. Fly in and ski free the same day. Your boarding pass acts as your free ski lift ticket. See link below to sign up for free, on line.
