Question by Sacrificial Lamb: What is your favorite beer(s) from the following categories:…..?
Pale Ale (you can distinguish India, American, etc), Imperial Stout (again, you can distinguish Russian, American, etc) and Belgian style (same rules as the others apply).

List as many or few as you like. I’m curious about your opinions.

I’m not keen on the pale beers. I like them dark and full of flavor. The only Pale Ale I think I’ve really liked was from Granite City Food and Brewery. I’ve yet to meat a Stout that I DIDN’T like, mostly, though, I like the oatmeals, almost any brand. (Granite City makes an excellent one.) I’ve tried Belgian beers at restaurants, and I probably liked them, as they are good, strong and dark, but I don’t recall what I’ve had.

Beer, I’m writing down some of your list to look for to have after I’m no longer pregnant and breastfeeding every two hours. (I’m only four weeks pregnant.) When I was still frequently breastfeeding my now 2.5-year-old, my husband and I would split bottles of beer. It was a good way to try new ones and for me to at least get a taste. (Ironically, during my last pregnancy, the one thing I really craved was beer and wine, because I couldn’t have it. I also craved Mexican, from which I abstained because I had bad heartburn.)
