WheyUP Expands Distribution in Arizona

Gilbert, AZ (PRWEB) January 14, 2009

WheyUP, the Original Protein Drink with Energy, continued its aggressive distribution campaign by signing a deal with Crescent Crown Distributing. Under this arrangement, WheyUP will be sold at select accounts in Arizona serviced by Crescent Crown Distributing, including convenience stores, grocery stores and other retail outlets.

WheyUP represents a breakthrough in the fitness drink industry. It combines 20 grams of whey protein with an energy formula in a sugar-free, non-carbonated beverage. WheyUP is sold in ready-to-drink 16-ounce plastic bottles and 12 packs in three flavors: Grape Punch, Wild Berry and Tropical Citrus.

“Arizona is our home turf, so Crescent Crown Distributing is a great fit,” said WheyUP’s inventor and co-founder Erik Rothchild. “This deal will allow us to expand our footprint in the Phoenix metro area and throughout Arizona.”

Crescent Crown Distributing was ranked the No. 2 Beer Wholesaler in the United States in 2008 by Beverage World Magazine. The company distributes product for beer giants Miller Brewing Co., Coors Brewing Co., Heineken, Pabst Brewing Co., and Labatt, as well as other internationally-known beverages from Mike’s Hard Lemonade, Crown Imports, Alaskan Brewing Co., Abita Brewing Co., Rockstar, Xyience and Phusion Products.

“We are excited to be working with a revolutionary new beverage like WheyUP,” said Stephanie Wuenschel,

Marketing Manager for Crescent Crown Distributing. “We’re always looking for products of excellence. WheyUP stands out for its uniqueness, functionality and great taste, and the brand continues to gain momentum.”

WheyUP is targeted toward health-conscience individuals and fitness enthusiasts. It is ideal for fat-loss programs, exercise programs, weight-training programs, athletic activities, and as part of a healthy, active lifestyle.

“With 20 grams of protein, zero fat and only 1 gram of carbs, WheyUP is the perfect drink for people on carb-conscience diets,” Rothchild said. “It is great for people who want to build lean muscle, burn fat, or both ? depending on your fitness goals. With WheyUP, it is easy to add protein to your diet and energy to your day.”
