Advanced Slide Labs The story of a Homebrew Slide Company | Press

Have you ever been rejected before? Has anyone ever told you that your idea’s were impractical, too hard to make or too dangerous? Well Advanced Slide Labs was founded by just that. “The fuel is our passion for technical sliding and the spark that ignited the fire was the word “no”. –John “Jerzey” Jackson-

Based out of Tempe, Arizona, Advanced Slide Labs is focused on the growth and progression of downhill technical sliding. They take pride in separating themselves from the “standard” puck company and claim it to be the first slide company. So what’s the difference? Most companies today strictly make hand pucks and most are made from the same old material; UHMWPE. ASL, in addition to two completely different hand pucks also makes Kneepad recaps of two different variations. Both their hand pucks are made from different materials outside of the UHMW family and their kneepad recaps are 100% handmade, molded and a completely original design. They also custom make gear to meet the needs of you, the sliders of the world. They believe you are only limited by your imagination and encourage you to push the bar on what is possible… living life sideways.

Hard wheel, soft wheel and downhill racing is seeing immense growth and advancement in equipment and technical slide tricks. Soft wheel guys are doing giant knee down slides, big fluid spins and even incorporating some hands down tech styled tricks like the Bert slide and hands down 540’s. Hard wheel is seeing riders slide on their knees, elbows, feet, back and head. Downhill racing is seeing bigger pre-drifts at faster speeds and riders packed together through tight hairpins. The demand for technical slide gear is growing faster than ever and ASL is at the forefront in addressing these issues.

They originated from hard wheel sliding and are focused on the progression of technical sliding of all disciplines. We have spent our blood, sweat, and tears into this sport. We have suffered, succeeded, Grown and evolved. We love skating and in particular, sliding is in our soul. We will continue to push the boundaries on what is possible through the art of technical sliding and we will continue to spend all of our energy focused specifically on longboarding and the growth it encounters.
